This article describes how you connect your validated sustainability certification to your Booking.com profile.

How to connect your certification to Booking.com

First, check that you have claimed and connected with a company profile with a valid certification uploaded by your certifying body. Even though you have received your certification directly, your certifying body will still need to import the data on your accreditation to the BeCause database.
Once your certifying body has imported the data, you can find it attached to your company profile under the Certification Area --> "Received Certifications". Here you can see which certifications you have received and what your certifying body has imported to the BeCause database.

If you cannot find any certification to the profile you have claimed or have created your own profile for your company, you need to contact your certifying body. When they have confirmed the import of your certification data to the BeCause platform, please write to us again.

You can check which third-party certifications Booking.com is currently displaying. If your certifying body is not mentioned there, your sustainability certification will not be displayed on Booking.com.

If you administrate multiple company profiles in BeCause, please double-check that you are on the correct company profile of the property you want to connect with Booking.com. You can always navigate between multiple companies that you are administrating.


Step-by-step guide on how to connect your Booking.com ID under Distribution channels

1. Scroll down and click "Settings".

2. Under Settings click "Distribution channels".

3. Find Booking.com and click "Connect".

4. Search your companies (if you are connected with more than 1 company) and select the company you need to connect with Booking.com. Click "Edit" if the status is "Not connected".

5. Write in your Booking.com ID for your property and click "Save changes".

6. Now the status has changed to "Connected" and it has turned green. Booking.com is now able to pull the data on the property and show your sustainability certification. It may take up to 7 days for Booking.com to pull the data, but usually, it goes a lot faster.

7. If you click on "Distribution channels" and then click "Connected channels (1)", you can now see that Booking.com appears as a connected channel.
