Connect your validated certification to Booking.com

This article describes how you connect your validated sustainability certification to your Booking.com profile.

How to connect your certification to Booking.com

First, check that you have claimed and connected with a company profile with a valid certification uploaded by your certifying body. Even though you have received your certification directly, your certifying body will still need to transfer the data on your accreditation to the BeCause database.

  • Once your certifying body has transferred your certification data to BeCause, you can find it attached to your company profile under the Certification Area --> "Received Certifications".
    Here you can see which certifications you have received and what your certifying body has imported to the BeCause database.

  • If you cannot find any certification in the profile you have claimed or have created your own profile for your company, you need to contact your certifying body.
    When they have confirmed the transfer of your certification data to the BeCause platform, you should be able to see it under "Received certifications".

You can check which third-party certifications Booking.com is currently displaying. If your certifying body is not mentioned there, your sustainability certification will not be displayed on Booking.com.

If you administer multiple company profiles in BeCause, please double-check that you are on the correct company profile of the property you want to connect with Booking.com. You can always navigate between multiple companies that you are administering.


Distribution Channels

Step-by-step guide on how to connect your Booking.com ID under 'Distribution Channels'

1. Under Settings, click "Distribution Channels".

2. Find Booking.com and click "Connect".

3. Write in your Booking.com ID for your property and click "Save".

5. Now the status has changed to "Connected," and it has turned green. Booking.com is now able to pull the data on the property and show your sustainability certification. It may take up to 7 days for Booking.com to pull the data, but usually, it goes a lot faster.

Please remember that Booking.com pulls the data within the next 7 days 📆.

If your sustainability certification is not visible on Booking.com after a week, please troubleshoot by following the steps in this article.


How to troubleshoot your inserted Booking.com ID status

1. You can always check your Booking.com inserted status by clicking
"If your data is not appearing on Booking.com, click here to troubleshoot it.".

2. If you have added a Booking.com property ID, but are still waiting, you can check your ID ⬇️ by copying your Booking.com profile link.
