Can I upload my own certification? 🤔

The short answer - no.

Why not?

It is only certifiers that can upload certifications to the BeCause platform.

Hotels are unable to do this, and our support team are unable to do this for you. This is so certifiers have full control over their data, and so third parties are unable to upload false certifications and compromise the integrity of the data in our database 💾.

If you are a hotel holding a valid certification, your certifier will create a profile for your property when they upload your certification. You will then be able to claim this profile during the signup process.

  1. If you have managed to claim a profile already, you can check if your profile contains certification by going to Certification Area --> Received certifications. If you have any certifications, they will be displayed here (see picture) 🌱.

What if I can't find my property profile on the BeCause platform?

If you have been recently certified, it may be that your certifier hasn't yet uploaded your certification into the BeCause platform. You can always ask your certifier to see whether they have done this if you are unable to find your property during the signup process🙏.

You should always search for the name that is on your certification.

  • Let's say your hotel is called "Example Hotel", but the name on your certification says "The Hotel Example, London".

  • "The Hotel Example, London" is the name you should search for when claiming a property profile during the signup process.

If your certifier has confirmed that your certification has been uploaded to the BeCause platform, but you can't find it, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team via the live chat feature in the bottom-right corner. They will be able to help you claim your property and guide you to link your certification to booking.com🤝.

Some certifiers may not currently work with BeCause, and this could be the case if you have a certification relating to ISO standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO50001. You can always consult with your certifier to see if they work with BeCause, and if they don't, they can contact our support team in the chat in the bottom right corner to find out how to upload your certification.
