Sending out reminders on a data request

This article describes outlines how you send out reminders on data request - either in bulk or at an individual propertu

Please note, you can only send out reminders after you have sent out a data request. More on how to send out a data request can be found here: Request hotel data using BeCause

It can be a time-consuming process to follow up with properties/hotels to ensure that they complete a given data request within the deadline. With BeCause we make it easy to keep hotels engaged and remind them to complete their data requests. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • Bulk reminders

  • Individual reminders

Bulk Reminders

Once a data request has been created and sent out to the hotels in your group, you will find the data request "card" on your data request page. In order to start the process of sending out reminders to your hotels on the data request, click 'Overview'.

In the progress overview you will need to do the following:

  1. Select all hotels

  2. Click "Send reminders to selected"

Next, you have the option to compose your own reminder message that will go out to the selected hotels. Simply use the pre-filled template or create your own message, before clicking "Next."

Final step is to select the recipients for the reminder at each of the selected hotel profiles. By default, the user that is set as "Owner" on the profile will receive the reminder. Once done, you click "Send reminder" and the selected recipient will receive the reminder.

Individual Reminders

Once a data request has been created and sent out to the hotels in your group, you will find the data request "card" on your data request page. In order to start the process of sending out reminders to your hotels on the data request, click 'Overview'.

On the individual progress overview, you can click "Send reminder" in the right-most column of the progress table.

Next, you have the option to compose your own reminder message that will go out to the selected hotel. Simply use the pre-filled template or create your own message, before clicking "Next."

Final step is to select the recipient for the reminder on the hotel profile. By default, the user that is set as "Owner" on the profile will receive the reminder. Once done, you click "Send reminder" and the selected recipient will receive the reminder.
